Falling Film Vacuum Evaporators
Design Vacuum Evaporator used for the thermal treatment of clear juice is a falling film vacuum evaporator. The design of this evaporator consists of a vertical shell and tube heat exchanger along with a centrifugal separator which is connected laterally or concentrically with the heat exchanger. For concentrating the pulp, it is supplied to the falling film vacuum evaporator through the top of the heating tubes. The applied fruit pulp is distributed along the heating tubes in such a way that the pulp is flowing down through the heat tubes as a thin film.
